Accessibility Statement
Our Commitment
TaxProtestKit is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Measures Taken
We have taken the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- ARIA labels and roles for interactive elements, including modal dialogs and form inputs
- Keyboard navigation support with visible focus indicators and focus trapping in modals
- Skip-to-content links on all pages
- Sufficient color contrast ratios for text and interactive elements
- Decorative content marked with
aria-hiddento prevent screen reader interference - Form inputs linked to error messages via
aria-describedby - An accessibility toolbar (powered by Sienna Accessibility) providing font size, contrast, spacing, and cursor adjustments
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas may have limitations:
- Third-party content (Stripe checkout, Google Analytics) may not fully meet all accessibility standards
- PDF documents generated by our service may have limited accessibility features
We are actively working to address these limitations.
